Scrap Plezier Reveal

Hello Scrappy Friends

I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog today with a quick and easy Kaisercraft layout.

I have a layout for you today using the Kaisercraft Wildflowers collection.  To start the layout I took 2 Tim Holtz rubber mounted stamps and a grey stamp pad and randomly stamped the images in the centre of the background.  I cut strips from a number of the Wildflower collection papers and placed them, mixed with some 12” stickers in a vertical manner over the background stamping.  I also added some strips of Kaisercraft Glitter tape in green.  I placed my photo in the middle of the strips, and added diecuts and stickers from the Wildflowers collection.  To finish I splattered inks in matching colours, and placed some sequins and tiny flower stickers.

Sunny Day Crafting Reveal

Hello Scrappy Friends

It is reveal day at Sunny Day Crafting and challenge #57 is P for Pink .

Now, you all know at least 2 things about me:
1.  I have only boys to scrap so very rarely use pink (which is sooooo disappointing when all the gorgeous new collections have copious amounts of pink in them)
2.  I am the worlds worst card maker.

So, you can imagine how I may have struggled with this challenge.  But challenge I did, and created a pink card :)

The strips are various branding strips and other bits from my stash.  The gold strips are Kaisercraft Washi Tape, and the greeting has been stamped onto some scalloped linen (7 Gypsies maybe) ribbon, sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang and embossed with gold embossing powder.

So why not head on over to the blog and join in the challenge?  And whilst you are there check out the amazing projects created by my fellow teamies :)

Scrap Plezier Reveal

Hello Scrappy Friends

I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog today with a Kaisercraft layout

Have you ever wondered what to do with the branding strips from the 12x12 patterned papers?  Well wonder no more – use them as stripes on your layout!!  I took a number of branding strips for the Kaisercraft Indigo Skies, Sage and Grace and Basecoat  collections and added some random paper strips from Indigo Skies and a couple of 12” stickers, and placed them diagonally across my page.  I took a black and white photo an matted it on a piece of Indigo Skies, placing some cheesecloth between the mat and the photo for added texture.  I added some diecuts from the Indigo Skies Collectibles, and a phrase sticker from the sticker sheet.  I finished the layout with splatters on ink and some large sequins.  Another easy, but very effective layout using leftovers!!

Off the Rails Scrapbooking Tutorial

Hello Scrappy Friends

I am up on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking blog today with a tutorial for you all - my first as a Design Team member.

Please be kind to me :)

Have you ever wondered what to do with the boxes the Prima flowers come in?

Well, why not turn it into a photo frame?

Gather your supplies, and make sure you have enough depth to cover the descriptions and other writing on the box if you dont want it to show.  Not shown in the photo are the rolls of washi tape and also the Prima flowers I used and as the project went on, I found other stash items to add to the frame.

Take a piece of patterned paper or cardstock and place in behind the opening as a mat for you photo.

Now the fun starts.  I used various washi tapes to cover the outer edges of the frame.  I also took a piece of Mixed Media Art tape, sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabio in Plumeria Pink and used that across the top.

I then added a couple of chipboard frames from the CVS Wild at Heart collection, and before adhering the top one I place half a doily behind it.  I took a rubber banner and adhered that on the bottom. I placed some of the Wild at Heart ephemera diecuts randomly around the frame.  I then added some of the Prima flowers

I took a diecut butterfly that I received in a kit, and added some pink Liquid Pearls as accents on its body.  I finished the layout off with some Club Green Pink Pearls with diamentes and two bows from a kit I have had sitting around waiting to use.

I tied some ombre ribbon to the top frame, and bobs you uncle, a photo frame!!  This will make a wonderful gift for a friend.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today.  I do hope I was able to inspire you to use up some packaging

Off the Rails October 1 Reveal

Hello Scrappy Friends

Daylight Savings confused me today so I am quite late with my first project as a Design Team member at Off the Rails Scrapbooking :)

The moodboard for October is gorgeous and I thoroughly recommend you pop on over, check it out and enter!!

Image may contain: one or more people and text

Here is my interpretation:

I rarely get the chance to scrap with pink, so I chose pink as my colour to go with Grey and white.

The background paper is from Kaisercraft PS I Love You collection, as are the punched strips.
These were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and all edges inked in Lawn Fawn Hippo.

I used a Urban Artist Decorative stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle texture paste and whilst it was still wet sprinkled some Nuvo Sparkle Dust Rose Quartz over it.  Whilst waiting for that to all dry,  I embossed the wood veneer title with WOW embossing powder British Summer and the Nuvo Sparkle Dust.

Once the stencilling was dry, I took a Kaisercraft Oriental Calligraphy stamp and stamped around the stencilled edges in Lawn Fawn Hippo and Tim Holtz Distriss Ink in Picked Raspberry

To finish off the layout I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Wild at Heart ephemera and Sparkles, as well as some washi tape.

Hope you are inspired to try out our challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today
