Oooops, where has the time gone?

Oh dear, I have been super busy at work so my poor blog has been neglected for the past month :(

Well, I had better make up for that!

Now...for your viewing pleasure

My Time to Craft - July 1 challenge - Christmas in July

Not a Christmas layout, but a normal layout using Christmas papers:

Scrap Plezier - July 4 Reveal

Premiers 2011 was created using Kaisercraft Rewind papers from a couple of years ago.  Again, I have used papers from the 6.5x6.5 paper pad (I have a huge collection of these and love them).  For interest, I tore the papers using my metal ruler.  This gives a nice straight edge to the tear.  From there I did my usual layering, in no particular order, just making sure the photo remained the main focus.

I finished the layout off with diecuts from the Rewind Collection as well as some buttons from my stash and some splatters of Tattered Angels Glimmermist – Sapphire.  The journalling was done on a dicut journalling spot from the Rewind Collection.   The title alphas are from Jillibean Soup.

And a fabulous moodboard it is:

I have used some mixed manufacturers in this layout of my boys and I taken at my birthday tea in May. Bits and pieces from Simple Stories, Doodlebug Designs, American Crafts, and Pink Paislee

My Time to Craft July 15 challenge - In the Garden

This challenge is to be my last for the time being at My Time to Craft - with work being absolutely mental, I have had to let something go, and unfortunately, it is this design team.  But...the wonderful boss lady Shell, has said I am welcome back when things settle down, she may regret that offer as I may just do that!!

Lots of Kaisercraft project life cards used as the layers on this layout.  Even dragged out an old punch to add some texture to the edge of the paper.

Scrap Plezier - July 16 Reveal

This layout was created using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme, and the gorgeous Kaisercraft Wildflower collection, papers and diecuts.  All edges of the background cardstock, patterned papers, and diecuts have been inked with Versacolour Pinecone.  The photo was mounted on dark green cardstock and pop dotted to give some texture to the layout.  The green sparkle washi tape is also Kaisercraft, and the pale pink washi came from the TYPO store.  The word stickers in the top left corner are Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers, the gold title alphas are Crate Paper Maggie Holmes, the small white and black letters are Kaisercraft.  The other alpha stickers used are from Simple Stories.  The splatters were created with Lindys Stamp Gang Flat Fabio in Plumeria Pink, and the turquoise colour is Dylusions Ink Spray in Vibrant Turquoise.

Scrap Plezier - July 20 Reveal

For the July 20 reveal at Scrap Plezier I went with Kaisercraft.
For this layout I wanted to use Kraft cardstock but felt the background needed a lift, so I trimmed the kraft cardstock and then layered it onto an old piece of paper from my stash.  I took a Kaisercraft Cherish clear stamp and using Hero Arts Black Dye ink, stamped along both vertical sides of my photo mats.  I then took a stamp from Creative Impressions and added that as well.  Next I took my Prima Watercolours and splattered various colours over the background.  These colours were chosen to match the papers I was going to use.  Whilst this was drying, I layered 3 pieces of patterned paper from the Wildflower Collection from Kaisercraft (6.5x6.5 paper pad), slightly crookedly, and then matted my photo twice, and placed on the paper background.  I took some Kaisercraft wood veneer and coloured it with the Prima Watercolouors – I love how both pieces turned out.  The title alphas are DIY Thickers from Studio Calico and are fabric, therefore customisable.  Again, I used the Prima Watercolours and coloured the title alphas in matching colours.  Finally I used some stickers and diecuts from the Wildflowers Collection to finish off my layout.
